"Luxury Accommodation and a warm welcome await you at this traditional Welsh Longhouse"

Gelligravog Farmhouse is in situated on the east side of Mynydd Maen, in the Border County of Gwent. It is a traditional Welsh Longhouse tastefully converted into a comfortable home offering excellent Bed and Breakfast Accommodation, all with en-suite facilities. It is decidedly rural yet only 10 minutes drive from the town of Cwmbran with its modern shopping centre and sports facilities. There are numerous golf courses nearby including the Celtic Manor, venue for the 2010 Ryder Cup.

To the east  you will find the rolling green countryside of Monmouthshire with many castles; the plush valleys of the Usk and the Wye; the Forest of Dean and the delightful towns of Monmouth and Chepstow.

Easily accessible to the north are the market town of Abergavenny, the World Heritage site of Blaenavon (with its famous Big Pit Mining Museum), and the rugged Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons.

Drive south to Newport with its famous Transporter Bridge, and Tredegar House Country Park.

To the west you can simply walk up Mynydd Maen for outstanding views from the Beacons to the Bristol Channel

So you don't want to drive?

You will find many things to do on our doorstep. Mynydd Maen and Blaen Bran Community Woodland offer excellent walking, mountain biking and pony trekking.

There are two pubs within walking distance, one offers excellent food and the other offers locally brewed real ales.

We are within 100m of the Cambrian Way long distance footpath and the Cistercian Way passes along our boundary.

You could walk to what is arguably the Oldest Golf Club in Wales (Established 1875), but it may be a bit far to carry your clubs!
